    One Piece Strong World

    ----------------------------

The movie just made 4.5 million dollars on it first day.

    Story

Luffy and crew are continuing their journey as usual when they hear about various towns in East Blue getting destroyed. Suddenly a ship appears right above them just when Nami senses a cyclone about to appear. Luffy tells them to warn the flying ship and in doing so the ship captain, "Gold Lion" Shiki, flies down and offers to show his gratitude. Luffy declines and tells him that they're heading for East Blue to help them out. Shiki offers to fly them there but instead tricks Luffy, taking them to a bunch of flying islands and kidnapping Nami. While on the island, Luffy and crew encounter various extremely strong animals, as well as a village with people with feathers on their arms being held captive and forced to work for Shiki. Luffy's task thus turns into a mission to get Nami back, save the village's people, as well as stop Shiki from destroying East Blue!

Characters, powers and other objects of importance

    The Bad Guys:

    "Kinjishi"(Gold Lion) Shiki

The captain of the Shiki pirates. His ambition is to control the world. After a fight with Roger, has a wooden object permanently stuck in his head. Cut off his own legs to escape Impel Down and started on his 20-year plan to control the world. The reason it took 20 years is to finish research on a plant called IQ that evolves animals into monstrous vicious animals.

Shiki's power is the "Fuwa fuwa" or "floaty" devil fruit. He's able to float himself as well as any inanimate object he touches, he's able to make float as well as control where it goes (i.e. he can't make animals/people float). Also, anything that he sends floating stays floating until he either releases his control of the object go or sends it down himself.

    Dr. Indigo

The lead researcher of transforming IQ into a usable chemical to change normal animals into fierce beasts. Makes a fart noise every time he walks, and often tries to communicate using only body language. He uses various chemical-based attacks but nothing stated if it was a devil fruit or not.

    Commanding officer, Scarlet

A gorilla and "right hand man" of Shiki. Used to communicate to the animals and get them to attack certain areas.

    Kitajima

(the Olympic swimmer - he had like 2 lines in the entire film )

    [big]The Good Guys[/big]:

    Shao

A little girl who lives on the island Merville. She, as well as the other people in the clan, has feathers on her arms. Shao was trying to collect the IQ plant in order to make an antidote for her grandmother when she gets saved by Zoro after nearly getting attacked by a vicious monster.

    Eva

Shao's sister. Works at a pub serving as a waitress.

    Shao's mom

Takes care of her sick mother.

    Shao's grandmother

Sick due to the poison from the Daft Green tree.

    Billy

A bird native to the island that has evolved into having an electric shock ability. Luffy names it Billy because of the way it "shocks" you when you touch it. Biri- is a way to say "Shock" in Japanese.

    IQ

A plant that causes animals to evolve.

    SIQ

The product of Dr. Indigo's research. Able to evolve animals into ferocious monstrous beasts by injecting them with this serum.

    Daft Green

A tree that gives off a poison that animals can't stand. Planted around the village to keep the animals away. The poison is extremely deadly if inhaled for extended periods of time, or by direct contact. An antidote can be made from the IQ plant.

It doesn't take a hero to order men into battle. It takes a hero to be one of
those men who goes into battle.

I think the best part was probably the fact it was canon, and the way they incorporated a canon villain from the Past, one of ROGER'S RIVALS and yet made his defeat against Luffy and the Strawhats actually seem legit.

And yeah, that emotion could be felt throughout, as Nami left to sacrifice herself for her crewmates. At least she still intended for them to save her, showing a much greater character development than the last time she was kidnapped like that (Arlong arc).

The only thing that gets me is Nami gets kept getting kidnapped. Shes been napped in movies before and in the Arlong arc and i seriously don't blame them

It was pretty decent, I was disappointed at Oda for making a predictable choice when it came down to the "damsel in distress" situation -- otherwise it was a pretty effectual movie, not as stupendously suspenseful, and last but certainly not least; I'm glad he didn't become superfluous with the scenes.

I enjoyed the fight, albeit it was somewhat simplistic -- I enjoyed the characterization though, especially the Strawhats -- well, mostly them -- and it was good, not tedious, and definitely left no sense of dubiousness with the superb execution.
