Anyone interested in an unequivocally brilliant, and historical literary piece by Yukimura Makoto? -- the impeccable portrayal of gore, and a young boy losing his father in a most diluted, yet honorable manner really makes the historical aspect stand out that much more -- notwithstanding the realism involved already; truly a fascinating, and interesting piece of work that shows an emphasis on a lost mind when losing his invaluable goal that pretty much motivated that particular character.Thorfinn is son to one of the Viking's greatest warriors, but when his father is killed in battle by the mercenary leader Askeladd, he swears his intent to have revenge. Thorfinn joins Askeladd's group in order to challenge him to a duel, and ends up caught in the middle of a war for the crown of England.
You can find it on Mangafox -- it has about 65 chapters, not that eccentric amount of pages per chapter, but nonetheless quite long -- enjoy.
